This is an optional CRC Encore Shock Shaft Extender, and is intended for use with the CRC Encore shock. This part is installed on the end of the shock shaft, and allows the use of any size or length standard 4-40 ballcup. This allows you to alter the length of the shock to make it suitable for use with other manufacturers cars.
